RESTAURANT

A real stables, a “medieval” cave that is both murky and sooty, with stone walls that are still blackened by the fire of the faggots and the smoke from the hearth, with it’s huge tables, benches, pitchers and vaulted ceilings.

An authentic outhouse, this is a restaurant that serves tasty yet simple traditional food: “torta al testo” (griddle-cooked flatbread), polenta with sausages, “bigoli” (a long pasta), “impastoiata” (polenta and beans), beans with pork rind, barbecued meat and cheese, potatoes and onions cooked in ash, typical Umbrian sweets.
